Jessica Schwarz is a sought-after German actress, moderator, hotel owner and for many years a committed ambassador for KINDERZUKUNFT, a german foundation for children in need. She is most known for her role as Romy Schneider in the television lm Romy. Since more than 15 years, she’s made appearances in many national and international lms and has become one of the most popular actresses of her generation. The multi-talented actress took some time to talk with us about style, inspiration and BROADWAY.

Is there a style from the BROADWAY collection that you particularly like?
“Oh yes, there is. There’s a beautiful white dress that is just so attering on the body. I actually wore several items today at the shoot which I would de nitely want to wear for going out.”

How would you describe your style?
“I think my style is extremely dif cult to explain. I wear jeans one day, a dress the next day. In the morning I put on whatever I feel like; when I'm on the road I wear what I’ve got in my suitcase.”

Is fashion important to you?
“Every garment must be of good quality and feel good. It has to be something that you put on and that immediately feels good on your skin. That’s really the essential thing for me.”

What do you wear when not in public for a change?
“If I’m in a hurry in the morning and need something practical, I’ll just put on jeans and a jumper. I also like light blouses, and I love dresses. As a little kid I was always like ‘dresses, dresses, dresses!’ They are extremely uncomplicated yet always make you look well-dressed, and they are so exquisitely feminine as well.”

Who or what inspires you in terms of fashion?
“I like the relaxed style of many French women. In addition, I’m also inspired by women like Alexa Chung, Cate Blanchett and Naomi Watts. It always depends on how you feel. Sometimes I’m also totaly into Rihanna’s style."

Would you share your biggest style secret with us?
“I’m not sure if I really have one. But if I’m in a hurry and want to look fashionable, my choice would be black jeans, white sneakers, a grey shirt and a black blazer; put that on and you’re done. You can never really go wrong with that.”

What projects are you currently working on?
“I’m speaking the voice of the snake Kaa in the current remake of THE JUNGLE BOOK, but soon I will start shooting the romantic comedy: ‘Auf der anderen Seite ist das Gras viel grüner’ and this autumn the drama ‘Die Hände meiner Mutter’ will be coming out in the movie theaters. So I won’t get bored so fast!”
